Guest Release Information
A plain-language summary of what guests agree to when appearing on the show. Each guest signs a formal release agreement before recording; if this summary and the signed agreement differ, the signed agreement controls.
Recording consent
By appearing on the show, guests consent to being recorded on audio and video for the episode.
Editing permission
Guests grant the show permission to edit recordings for length, clarity and quality. Editing is never used to change the meaning of what a guest said.
Publication permission
Guests grant permission to publish the episode and excerpts on the podcast's platforms, including YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, this website and social media.
Promotional use
Guests grant permission to use their name, likeness, approved photographs, biography and episode clips to promote the episode and the show.
Guest responsibility for accurate statements
Guests are responsible for the accuracy of statements they make during the interview and for having the right to share the information they discuss.
No guarantee of publication
Recording an interview does not guarantee publication. The show retains editorial discretion over whether and when an episode is released.
License and compensation
Guests grant The Business of Justice a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, distribute and display the recorded episode and excerpts across current and future media for the purposes described above. Appearing on the show is voluntary and uncompensated; guests do not pay to appear, and no appearance fee is owed to guests, unless separately agreed in writing.
Removal requests
Requests to remove or edit published content are considered in good faith at the show's discretion, but publication decisions remain with The Business of Justice consistent with the signed release.
Confidential and privileged information
Guests must not disclose privileged, confidential or classified information, including attorney-client privileged material, confidential case strategy, protected personnel information, confidential investigations, sensitive operational information, private medical information or confidential business information. The show will never ask a guest to do so.
